  • Overview


    Group O has an immediate opening in its corporate Human Resources department.  The Human Resource Generalist performs duties in some or all of the following functional areas: benefits management, employee relations, training, and affirmative action program.


    This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.


    • Performs benefits administration to include change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees
    • Assist with affirmative action plan analysis and documentation
    • Conducts new-employee orientations
    • Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing
    • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
    • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database
    • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals
    • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the HR department and services performed
    • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
    • Develop partnerships inside and outside of HR to gain an in-depth understanding of business units and job functions
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned



    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • 3-5 years in a Human Resources role
    • Computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organization and time management skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Problem solving
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/initiative simultaneously
    • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
    • Ability to work on sensitive issues with discretion and a high level of commitment to confidentiality



    • Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP
    • Computer skills:  HRIS, SharePoint
