  • Overview

    Group O is currently seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to join its growing team in Roanoke, TX. As the Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for receiving, inventory, and shipping for multiple clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Configuring storage areas in Warehouse Management System
    • Supervising employees
    • Providing training to employees in the following areas:
      • Process
      • Work instructions
    • Physically labeling storage areas
    • Managing inbound/outbound shipment expectations, in addition to putting inventory away
    • Performing inventory audits, including:
      • Cycle counts
      • Zero bin audits
      • Duplicate bin resolutions
    • Investigating and resolving discrepancies in inventory levels
    • Managing interface between the client inventory system and Group O’s warehouse management system to align on:
      • Parts to be received
      • Parts received
      • Past due parts to be received
      • Current inventory levels
    • Investigating and reporting on:
      • Parts that are past due to be received
      • Discrepancies in inventory levels
      • Parts received with damages and incorrect quantities
    • Managing the identification, recording and receiving of overstock parts
    • Monitoring and reporting on slow-moving inventory
    • Managing the disposition of end-of-life parts
    • Recording inventory adjustments and associated reason codes and notes      
    • Unloading inventory from trucks
    • Counting and recording inventory
    • Receiving inventory into warehouse management system
    • Other duties as assigned
      • Ability to work in a fast paced, stressful environment
      • Ability to work with and meet deadlines
      • Ability to learn and work with Warehouse Management System software
      • Aptitude to learn the use of scales, forklifts and other production equipment

    Qualifications

    Education      

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
      • Associate Degree preferred

    Skills

    • Basic user abilities in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads
    • Ability to drive a forklift
    • Ability to lift items weighing up to 35 pounds

    Experience    

    • 3 years of experience within a WMS and/or ERP system
      • 1 year of supervisor or managerial experience
