  • Overview

    Group O is searching for an Inventory Associate to join our team!  The Inventory Associate role is responsible to develop and drive processes that ensure inventory accuracy, deliver effective property control and report audit activities to support the client requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform cycle counts as defined
    • Direct and execute receiving and put-away processes and ensure compliance to standard practices
    • Evaluate transactions to resolve count discrepancies
    • Identify problems in handling and storage of product
    • Maintain supporting cycle count records
    • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area
    • Execute defined work instructions, procedures, as well as company and safety policies
    • Provide ideas/insights to refine established procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency, improve quality, or reduce cost
    • Continually work with management on other optimization ideas
    • Work with management to perform miscellaneous  assigned duties

    Qualifications

    • Attention to detail
    • Good communications skills, delegation skills, and work attitude
    • Relates well with employees and superiors
    • Should be open-minded and decisive with problem solving skills
    • Ability to follow work instructions.
    • Proficient with computer systems, especially Navision
    • Proficient in material handling equipment
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds
    • Bending, standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods of time
    • Working overtime when required
    • Fork Lift Certified a plus
    • MS Office, especially Excel

    Experience:

    • Continual improvement
    • Mistake proofing
    • Leadership and effective team-building skills
    • Minimum 2 years experience managing inventory

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
