  • Overview

    Group O is searching for a Director of Business Technology to join our team!  The Director of Business Technology will provide thought leadership and management for enterprise resource planning and associated technology solutions throughout the Group O enterprise; define the road-map for enterprise resource planning and associated technology solutions and ensure that client and business leader’s needs are met.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership, vision, and management of enterprise resource planning technologies.
    • Work directly with the customer/client and business owners to identify new ideas and collaborate across verticals, regions, and functional areas to create, develop and implement solutions
    • Drive the “discovery" process through quick assessment of product strategies by understanding needs, satisfaction drivers, performance requirements and business case throughout the value chain/channel structure
    • Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new technologies.
    • Participate in the sales cycle, interact with clients, present the benefit of the enterprise resource planning technologies we use as well as providing content for RFPs.
    • Work with IT execution team to create solutions that successfully meet the objectives defined by our road-map.
    • Work with business unit leaders to develop strategy and road-map for business technologies.
    • Monitor industry, technology, and business trends to identify opportunities/threats and benchmarks competitive products to identify sources of competitive advantage
    • Executive level escalation point ensuring business expectations are met for all clients
    • Work with business unit leaders throughout the organization to ensure technologies are properly supporting the business.
    • Provide leadership to technical teams working on enterprise resource planning and business technology solutions.
    • Develop critical vendor relationships to support in scope systems and services; partner with vendors to ensure the most cost effective use of resources.
    • Develop and monitor an annual plan and budget to accomplish objectives; assist business units with development of ERP-related goals and objectives.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or other IT discipline or related field.
      • Master’s degree (preferred)

    Skills

    • Deployment of large scale enterprise resource planning solutions
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
      • Ability to create and foster strong relationships with the client and internal partners
      • Ability to oversee portfolio management and be accountable for overall technology portfolio spend
      • Proficiency in project management methodology, with a focus on managing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals
      • Ability to articulate issues, present "pros and cons" and provide solutions to next supervisory level

    Experience

    • 10 years management experience in a position with enterprise resource planning related technology
    • Demonstrated success implementing and successfully managing a mission critical ERP environment with multiple stakeholders
      • Proven track record of leading and developing team members
      • Background in business case development with the ability to articulate cost/benefit analysis

    Desired Skills 

    • Solution/Architect experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
    • Experience with Sologlobe Solochain WMS
    • Experience with Web Portal / eCommerce Order Management Model
    • Master’s degree in a related field
    • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) ie. Waterfall, Agile, etc, ITSM
