Group O is searching for a Purchasing Associate to join our team! The Purchasing Associate is responsible for monitoring current inventory levels and managing part replenishments.


  • Monitoring inventory levels
    • Reviewing customer-specific inventory levels
    • Performing analysis of inventory levels for replenishment
  • Purchasing parts
    • Requesting purchase quotes (when required)
    • Maintaining current part-specific purchasing information
    • Generating and submitting purchase orders
    • Working with suppliers on target and expedited delivery dates
    • Monitoring on-time delivery
    • Working with suppliers on late deliveries
    • Monitoring and communicating status of back orders
    • Validating and processing invoices for payment
  • Secondary Tasks
    • Maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work area
    • Participating in physical inventories as needed
    • Other duties as assigned



  • Minimum two years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads
  • Ability to travel (infrequently)
  • Ability to sit for an extended period of time
  • Purchasing and accounting knowledge
  • Understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Basic user abilities in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn and work with Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) software
  • Ability to follow work instructions and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent math skills
  • Problem solving ability


  • High school degree or equivalent (Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred)
