Overview

Group O is currently seeking a Production Manager to join our 2nd shift. The Production Manager is responsible for the kitting team’s performance in meeting client requirements, productivity goals and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Managing kitting team activity
    • Supervising kitting production supervisors
    • Planning and scheduling kitting production
    • Managing decisions on kitting labor
    • Managing process and workflow documentation related to kitting, updates and communication
    • Ensuring a safe work environment in kitting production
    • Identifying issues and managing issue resolution
    • Facilitating and monitoring training for kitting team members

  • Managing the kitting team’s productivity performance
    • Collecting data for labor costs and productivity measurement
    • Reviewing and validating labor cost and productivity data
    • Acting based on labor cost and productivity performance

  • Managing the kitting team’s quality performance to goals
    • Maintaining relevant and effective quality audits
    • Collecting data for quality measurement
    • Reviewing and validating quality measurement data
    • Acting based on quality performance

  • Managing workforce issues
    • Working with corporate human resources on employee hiring, termination and performance issues
    • Assisting production supervisors in managing employee issues

  • Maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work area
  • Finding and supporting opportunities for improved performance, cost-savings and efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum five years management experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team management skills
  • Ability to follow work instructions and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills
